Appearance

Pick an Accent colour (Iris, Coral, Jade, Saffron, Orchid or Steel) and a Theme: Match device, Light or Dark. Code blocks in notes can follow the theme or stay light or dark.
Your choice follows you to every device you sign in on, and the Mac app.
View → Theme and View → Accent switch them from anywhere.
Sign-in
- Change username: type the new Username and your Current password, then choose Change username.
- Change password: type your Current password, then the New password (at least 8 characters) twice, and choose Change password. Your other devices are signed out.
In the Mac app, you may not have a password yet. Set a password here to use Nifty in a browser, on another device, or to move your data to a server.
Forgotten it? See Signing in and recovery.
API tokens
A token lets an app or script read and change your data through the API. Treat it like a password.
- Choose New token (or press N).
- Give it a Name you'll recognise, and pick when it Expires: Never, or in 30, 90 or 365 days.
- Choose Save.
- Choose Copy token and keep it somewhere safe. You won't see it again.
Each token shows when it was last used. To stop one working, choose its bin icon, then Revoke token. Apps using it stop at once.
